A Church of England funeral is available to everyone, giving support before, during and after the service, for as long as it’s needed.

candles(2)Church of England parish churches, including Christ Church Toxteth Park, exist to serve the whole community, it doesn’t matter whether the person or their family have any existing church connection.

We also respect the fact that every funeral includes people from different world faiths and with personal beliefs or none at all.  It is a privilege to offer a Christian service to every human being who would find it helpful.

We will support you in a crematorium service or burial, which is often preceded by a church service in Christ Church (or our sister parish, St Michael in the Hamlet).

A funeral is used to mark the end of a person’s life. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping. Funerals can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion. Every person matters to God.

For more information about holding a funeral at Christ Church please contact Rev. Keith Hitchman. Alternatively, any of the leaders would be delighted to chat to you after the Sunday morning service.
